What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit to Founders Endodontics will be an in-depth consultation focused on diagnosing your concern and reviewing the best treatment options. As part of your dental team, we work closely with your general dentist to ensure your care aligns seamlessly with your overall treatment plan. In some cases, we may reach out to your dentist before making a final recommendation, because collaboration leads to better outcomes. Think of your general dentist as the quarterback of your dental team - and you as the coach. When it’s time for specialized root canal care, your dentist may “hand the ball off” to us. As Dr. Fitzgibbons likes to say, “Teamwork makes the dream work!”
During your consultation, we’ll perform:
- A thorough review of your history (symptoms, medical and dental history)
- Imaging, typically a combination of 2D and 3D radiography
- A detailed intraoral exam, included any necessary testing
Once we’ve reached a diagnosis and reviewed your treatment options, you’ll have the opportunity to schedule the appropriate care for your tooth. If you’re experiencing severe pain, we may be able to provide same-day emergency treatment. Otherwise, we’ll reserve a dedicated appointment for your procedure and assist you with coordinating the financial arrangements. Our goal is to make the next steps clear, comfortable, and stress-free.
